still frozen
Cleaning up my beds today I went to dip the trowel in. I have about 10 inches on M.M. and 2 inches down it's frozen solid across the bed.
My plants are dying to get out.

We too are a few weeks behind with the very cold temps. Hang in there.

Yes herblover, and that snow is suppose to shatter the all time record of 59 inches for our area.. we're just so lucky!?

Yes indeed, it's justified! Imagine yesterday was 60 degrees but tonight is expected to be 10 degrees. Gusty winds will make it feel even colder still.
The good news is the extension service in my county southeast of you says flea beetles will hardy exist this summer due to the extra crazy winter conditions. Finally, something useful from the extended cold.

Amen! I would think this winter will have knocked out alot of bugs, but hopefully just the bad ones!

I posted pictures on THIS site 2 years ago, early March, with flowers in my garden.
This year, I still have a few feet of snow on THAT garden.
Plus the several inches of frozen ground. I was planting peas this time last year SIGH

WOW, looks like a WHOLE LOTTA HUGGIN GOING ON
Today it is 10 degrees out LOVELY.... So I took my worm castings outside and sat in the sun and dug around for cocoons..... What a great thing to do outside.
