BTW, these TT's are all filled with store-bought Mel's Mix, supplemented with Nature's Care brand "Very Good Compost" when replanting a square.

I certainly have no complaints!

Your garden is gorgeous! Are those hollyhocks? Did you start them in the spring? I purchased some hollyhock seeds and was convinced that they wouldn't do well unless I planted them in the fall (I am in SoCal). Great job on your garden, love the flowers added to the veggies!

Thanks, Linda! Hollyhocks are like weeds here, this one popped up in that spot. The seeds are wind and bird dropped. If you grow one, you'll have 10 more the next year. The seeds are easy to collect, also.
Whenever I go to Home Depot, I can't resist the flowers. I lived in SoCal for 30 years, Glendale and then Big Tujunga Canyon. I miss the ocean. I'm originally from NJ and miss the Atlantic Ocean, so different from the Pacific. Do you have pictures of your garden? I'd love to see them!

You have adapted to your new environment very well. It must be hard to go from SoCal to a more arid environment. I am in Murrieta (near San Diego). I do have photos posted of my garden, but since you asked...here are some new ones! My name is Kathy (although Linda is my middle name!). It broke my heart to take my flowers (mostly roses) out of these beds, but my primary love is edible gardening and I will never get my wish to move to the country!

My container garden-

Sorry - don't know how to rotate pics!
Cukes, corn and so much more!

Everything looks good: the grow bags along the fence, the 4x8 beds, the potted plants, and the worm tubes!

Kathy! Your garden looks wonderful! My friends built me a new table-top on Monday, Memorial day. Now I have 5 beds - that should surely be enough! Can't wait to get busy this weekend!

I started with my first box in February. Oh! I have my first ripe red grape tomato! I'll post a picture tomorrow. We are so lucky to live in such a long season zone!
