Hello All!!

I know..I haven't been on in forever! 

I fell down icy steps the week of Christmas 2013.
Broke my ankle..plates...screws..yea..really messed it up! 3 months non-weight bearing, then a month to be able to walk on it..then was on a walker if I went in the yard till the middle of May. I was severely depressed...not in the mood to garden cause I don't have beds that are easy to get down on the ground too. Was just easier to not do it. So, I wimped out and had a lazy year.

I did NOTHING for gardening last year except my decorative bed out front that my daughters helped me plant in the spring.

Now to get with the program!

I didn't start seeds this spring. I had a vacation to go to Florida with my daughter for a few days the end of March/first of April and didn't want to have to bug hubby to take care of them.He would have been upset with himself if he had messed up.

But when I got back he had an awesome surprise for me! We had bought a greenhouse a couple of years ago and hadn't put it up.

While I was gone he was busy!
Ornery brat! He completely surprised me!
It is 6x8 so plenty big enough for me.

Then hubby decided to put a pump on my water barrel for me. I am sooo spoiled lol.



He has since bought solar lanterns to hang on hooks outside. Just because rofl..oh and a gnome plant stand thing (no pics yet lol) for me to put by the front door.

Now I am back on the bandwagon!

I am redoing the design on my garden beds. I have them all over the yard because I started without a plan. I will be moving them all to a central area over the summer. Except for a couple of 2x4s that have an arch between them. They are at the front of the yard on the south side. I use them for spring lettuces and peas and such.

Oh..I did get my first apple from Pick-A-Little Orchard last fall!

It's good to see you again, CindiLou! As I recall, you have other health issues as well, so it must have been extra difficult for you. Glad to see you're mended, and ready to get your hands dirty in the garden.

Since hubby is going out of his way to help you out, maybe now's a good time to get a SFG box set up on one of his railroad cars! I know I've mentioned it before, but I think it would be a hoot!

That's a sweet greenhouse; I know you're going to love it!

Rofl..I am so gonna get on him about it! I agree..he has been switching his system around so it is going good now! Will let you know how it goes!

And yes..I have M.S. so was not doing so good with the stress. Oh well..we all have issues lol. But was nice to have an excuse to use the walker without feeling guilty rofl..I even used it last month at a lawn and garden show! My ankle swells pretty bad still when I am on it for long spells lol..at least that is my story and I am sticking to it!

Well, welcome back.  I began SFG in 2013 and I never looked back.

I am 20 miles south of Atlanta.  Georgia red clay kept me from gardening for about 7 years.  Now I'm full throttle.

Again... welcome and I wish you success in you gardening adventure for this year!

Hiya Cindi! I'm glad you've mended!

Welcome back Cindilou.  Glad to hear you are making inroads in getting back to gardening.  I just love your greenhouse and the pump on the water barrel.  Great hubby.  Just do things slowly as you can manage them. 
Many of us are now limited in what we can do, but we adjust a bit here, a bit there and make it work, at least a little bit.
