Irrigation system we created for our SFG
Hello,
I am a first time veggie gardener and just put together my irrigation system. I was at first overwhelmed by the process, as there are so many irrigation parts and it took a while to figure out how to do it! I wanted to share what my husband and I came up with. Not sure how it will fair, but I think it turned out pretty good! I've attached a picture. Each 4x4' box has two "octopus" heads, each with 8 nozzles (total of 16--1 for each square foot in the box). At the end of each nozzle I've used either a drip head or a spray head, depending on the veggie I'm growing.

Hi Kbachli. Not sure we've met... If not, welcome from Atlanta, GA.
Photo looks good. I'm "assuming" that you can change the heads out as needed for when you switch out your veggies/flowers...
Remember - it's all a process... If it gets overwhelming, just sit down, take a deep breath and look around at what you've accomplished so far!

Hi Kbachli, Nice looking box! I noticed your temps are already in the 70s-80s, so get ready to mulch your plants.

Thank you! And Sanderson, thanks for the tip about mulching. I hadn't thought about that!

I saw this system on Facebook and am intrigued!

Although it's pretty expensive, I think it might be just what I need.

Oh, I like it, Donna! Very cool.... but, yes, rather pricey...
I'll have to keep it in mind..... as I struggle w/ my soaker hose next week....
