The "Lawn Guy" was here today......AARGH!
I am a little upset with myself for not thinking of this.
Every year in the spring we have a guy come and fertilize our lawn. He zips around on what looks like a riding lawn mower and it spreads tiny fertilizer beads out in a 6 ft radius.
Well - guess what's in my strawberry bed and in my blueberry containers!
Luckily, I had the plastic cover on my veggie bed!!!
I am just sick over it.....I am upset with myself for being uninformed first of all......I mean - what is in that stuff? And to be honest - I dont' even know for sure what purpose it serves? Is it just a fertlilzer? a weed killer as well? I should know this!!!
I wish I would've known he was coming...I could've put plastic over my other beds!
I realize he doesn't have time to sit and call every customer before he comes over...I get that.
But maybe I should call him and let him know how I feel. i would like a heads-up so I can protect my garden.
Actaully, I should talk with my DH...do we really need this service?
Thanks for listening.

I think it's great that you're thinking about the reasons for doing things like fertilizing. So many people do it without considering beyond the beautification of their environment. I don't think it's unreasonable to ask that he let you know when he's coming at the very least.
