Please check your forum time display
Forumotion has recently completed upgrades to their time management system that probably affected all members' displays. This has nothing to do with the upcoming time change this weekend.
If your time needs adjusting, select 'Profile' in the green nav bar at the top of every page. Then select the 'Preferences' tab.
Near the bottom of the Preferences page, select your time zone and your preferred 'Date format'. Don't forget to select 'Save' after making any changes! It's recommended that you select a 'Date format' that shows the year.

Thanks boffer. Maybe I won't be an hour late for everything now.

Re: Please check your forum time display
Thanks. Mine was also incorrect.
I have seen women looking at jewelry ads with a misty eye and one hand resting on the heart, and I only know what they're feeling because that's how I read the seed catalogs in January - Barbara Kingsolver - Animal, Vegetable, Miracle

I was in Paramimbo! Isn't that in Uraguay or something...?
Now I'm in Havana since Atlanta's not listed and I don't like NY or Detroit... Havana's much warmer!

I just checked and found out I was in Cancun. I must be inland because I can't see the ocean and it seems a little cold.

Re: Please check your forum time display
With the time change I decided to check and found I am an hour out due to the time line I had selected was somewhere where the time does not change twice a year.
So, I have moved to L.A., hoping to get some higher temperatures and a bit more daylight during the winter.
I wonder if it will work?

It's worth a try!
Re: Please check your forum time display
I never noticed this when it was first reported last fall.
I see that I, too, am in Paramimbo. I tried to change it to New York (closest to Connecticut), but then my time was off by an hour (7:50, not 6:50 -- maybe because of Daylight Savings Time?) so I changed it back. Maybe since Suriname is warmer, I can convince myself that I'm imagining that we're supposed to have a freeze tonight, a month in to the Spring season!

I missed this thread before, but I had noticed that I was an hour off kilter. I was in Curacao! Now listed as Chicago and am right on time!

Now, did it work, or not? The time on my keyboard is 9:18pm. Here goes.boffer wrote:Kelejan wrote:...So, I have moved to L.A., hoping to get some higher temperatures and a bit more daylight during the winter.

ETA 9:18pm is the same as 21:18pm so I am now in L.A. Except I have the feeling that the Latitude is not right.
ETA again: this time and space travel isn't easy.
