Hi from Lake of the Ozarks, MO
Hi! I've gardened a little bit in fits and starts over the years, my granny always had her garden by the house and then another "truck" garden aways a bit that was HUGE! I'm not nearly as hardworking as she was so I'm hoping I can still enjoy a good harvest using SFG! I don't have much flat, sunny, space and what I do have I wish I could orient in a different direction so I'm hoping I can get some good ideas here for my layout and bed sizes. Hubby is ready and willing to head out for supplies but I think I saw a pile of scrap lumber while we were trail riding where we board our horses yesterday so I'm going to raid that first. Looking forward to this forum!

Re: Hi from Lake of the Ozarks, MO
Welcome to the forum.
I have some fond memories of being drug behind a ski boat at about age 7 or 8 on the Lake of the Ozarks. My Grandparents purchased and developed a section of land there. They had a number of rental cabins, a boat dock, gas, bait, family restaurant, game arcade, and a few permanent residences there in the 60's and 70's. My father spent several summers digging water line trenches with a pick a shovel before he shipped off to Vietnam for a few tours. They sold all but one cabin in the late 70's and retired to Florida. I sure wish it had all stayed in the family.
There used to be a small community that spent summers there. We had bonfires on the beach, canoe races for us younger kids, and cookouts every weekend. Last time I was there in the late 80's it was all over developed and the beach was over taken with boat docks. The only view you had from any of the houses was the tops of metal roofed floating docks which was disappointing.
