So I am terrible with math...not all math, just volumes.
I plan on having 3 beds, so I need 8 cf of compost.
I was able to find moonure
http://www.moonure.com/

in 25lb bags the bags look to be 2ftx1ft by maybe 4in. so isn't that just 1/2 cubic ft?

The only other compost I could find was another cow manure based in a 40lb bag.

Is there an easier way to convert lb's of compost into cubic feet?

I was reading another post questioning cow manure only compost...should I add just regular soil to my bed too & not just cow compost.
any clue as to where to find different compost? I tried calling some mulching companies but they want to deliver it from a flatbed 7 can't tell me what the compost is from (they are assuming it is farm animal but wouldn't say if it was cow) & want over $100 to deliver it How much compost? & what if I can only find cow compost Icon_eek ....no thanks the vermiculite was expensive enough LOL

Easy way to measure it out is 1 cf of soil is = to 1* 5 gallon bucket (roughly) for greater efficency belfry bat posted up this awesome tool in another thread that will make diffrent conversions even more simplistic heres the link enjoy

How much compost? & what if I can only find cow compost Empty Try this one

You don't have to download anything and i think this converter will give you the measurements that you need...

ONLINE CONVERSION

I don't think there are conversions for weight>volume except for standard things like water. I just looked at the bag of compost I have ... it's about the same dimensions you indicated... 1'x2' - but it's 5" thick... and it's labeled 1-1/2 cuft.
