Wow! G-normous!
And they didn't bring you up on child labor charges? LOL! That thing is huge. Did you fix your wheels/axles where you could raise/lower them? We're thinking about trying that.

Re: Anybody wanna see my new chicken tractor?
I did fix the wheel issue with heavier axles. My method was pretty simple and rolls just fine...on flat ground. Throw grass, weeds, bumps, hills and humps in the mix and the kids had their work cut out for them. I've since made the run and the coop easier to un-attach and move the coop with the tractor. There seems to be a lot less yelling and commotion that way. While I have no issues abusing my kids with hard, physical labor, sometimes my sanity is more important

Rooster,
Can't you use ratchet straps and home made forks the rear hydraulic linkage on the tractor to lift and move all in one go ?

Success and coincidence!
So, about a year ago, we had about 25 chickens and ugly turkens running around loose during the day and mostly cooped up at night. Apparently we have some very creative varmints where we live and EVERYTHING loves chicken. We got down to one hen and one turken. We felt sorry for them as nothing we did seemed to save any chicken lives so we gave them away to our neighbor who has enclosed chicken yards. He called last night and wanted to know if we wanted them back as they are temporarily moving to TX for a year or so due to his job. Talk about divine providence! I will have 2 birds for the tractor then.
Also, I found 10 wk old RIR pullets about an hour from home for $8/ea. #1 son and DIL are going to try to fetch 2 of those tomorrow. I will be so glad to have my funny girls to entertain and produce eggs for us. Doesn't take much to make me happy.
