Trellis Question in Nashville
I am planning to grow several types of tomatoes and peppers. They will not be planted in a single row, so I am wondering how to place a trellis if they will be growing in a space that is 4x2. Can I place the trellis in between the two rows? Can they grow up on trellis? Do I need more than one trellis? Should I spread the tomatoes and peppers more? If so, do I need to be concerned with shading other items in my garden. The space gets full sun all day (much more than 6 hrs). Any advice would be appreciated for this fist time gardener.

Re: Trellis Question in Nashville
I'm not an expert on trellises, yet. But the shading thing might be an issue. There are lots of people on the forum who will surely be able to give you good advice about this.
I do want to welcome you to the forums, though. We share a lot of experiences on here, both good and not-so-great.
Say hello in the welcome mat, too, if you haven't already.

Re: Trellis Question in Nashville
Welcome to the forum.
I am having a hard time picturing exactly what you have in mind but that may be because I am mentally and physically exhausted at the moment.
I put my tomatoes across one row of my 4x4 box. It was the Northern most back row. I trained one plant per square, four total, up that trellis. I had 12 pepper plants in the other 12 squares of that box. I did not put peppers up a trellis since they do not really need it in my experience. I just used some bamboo stakes to support the pepper plants when they got a bit loaded down with peppers. Since my trellis was on the north side of the box shading was not an issue. The peppers still got full southern sun all day.
