Hello from northern California!
With the new year before me, I am committed to eating healthier and to feeding my family healthier foods! I thought I'd look into planning a home garden for us and found myself her on squarefoot gardening. Excited to be here!!

Welcome stef. Anytime one can grow their own food in safe soil and no chemicals, it has to be step up. And it can be fun.
Enjoy.
Enjoy.

Hey, Stef, glad to have you aboard. PapaVino and I love visiting Northern California and can see why you live there. Are you anywhere near Eureka (which I find particularly attractive as a place to live)? Or the ultimate: Sonoma Valley, which can grow just about anything (and which I envy)? Will be neat to hear how you develop your garden and harvest your crops. Welcome from Nonna and PapaVino!

Welcome. If you haven't read the book ALL NEW SQUAREFOOT GARDENING then now is the time to read and plan for your spring garden. This book in the how to manual for folks on this forum and we love the concepts.

Hi Stef welcome to the site ,
You're in for an exciting but steep learning curve if you have never ever run a squarefoot garden before .
Do you have the square foot book mentioned in my strap line ?
If not perhaps try and get one for it helps when we are all singing off the same song sheet so to speak .
I also offer that you read as many threads as you can so you get a flavour of how thing are planned and undertaken etc . There is also some darn good free info in the threads ( look at them via the home page index ) .
