question about mulchers
I am looking to buy a mulcher/shredder to make the stuff I put into the compost smaller.
I have last years plants, leaves, bigger veggie remains etc that I would like to shred up.
In the past we have had one of those HUGE ones that you can put trees into, but really only want something that can deal with the little stuff.
My DH is looking at them and says they cost is about 1000, and the ones that I am looking at are 200 dollars.
I just want to know how effective the 200 dollar ones are at just the stuff that goes in compost NOT branches etc.

You may be able to find a bigger machine for less dollars. Try Craigslist & eBay.

I live a very long ways away from Vancouver and there is nothing on the local boards of craigs list OR kijiji.
We have just watched the video on the 200 dollar machine and it basically only does leaves.... nothing bigger
