Re: Hello from Peoria, AZ
to the square foot gardening forum. As you look around you will find loads of info on many topics by typing in the white search box, upper left side of this page. And,if you click the Home tab up top in the green bar above and scroll down to your region of the country you'll find more local gardening topics. Hope you are enjoying the All New Square Foot Gardening book or planning to get your hands on one. It is very easy to read and you will refer to it many times.
If you are like me you can plant and enjoy your entire first garden by the clear instructions in the book alone. Later on when I discovered this site, it was like finding a large club of friendly people sharing their knowledge. Have fun and just jump right in with comments and questions!

PG. I hope you've had the chance to read the All New Square Foot Gardening book. It's was such a joy to go from gardening the "old" way to gardening the SFG way.
I have seen women looking at jewelry ads with a misty eye and one hand resting on the heart, and I only know what they're feeling because that's how I read the seed catalogs in January - Barbara Kingsolver - Animal, Vegetable, Miracle

Welcome PeoriaGrammy. You'll find it wonderful posting here during the winter making everyone else jealous, during the spring when you are the first to harvest, a little jaded during the summer when all their crops are producing and our bounty becomes a bit limited and then fall I think everyone is on the same page.
Happy to help if you have a question but I'm a newbie myself.
