Deals!
I can't find the thread that's been running around the last couple of weeks on good deals, so I'm starting a new one. My Lowes had strawberry plants for 25 cents each. I picked up 20.

Seed Deals
Be sure to check the expiration dates on any seed packets you purchase. I bought some from Home Depot and when I got home, I saw they had expired in 2010 or 2012. I'm returning these this week. I guess they try to sell whatever they have left in their warehouses.

Re: Deals!
Tulle alert! Joann Fabrics has 50 percent off coupon good through tomorrow. if you can't find a coupon online they are in a rack by the front door in a folded flyer, not the booklet. They are also running another 50 percent off coupon in a flyer called called Daffodil Dash beginning April 27th thru May 3rd. You can sign up and give them your email account and they will mail coupons to you apparently.

Re: Deals!
Yes, that is correct. I have put the tulle inside the freezer. I'm hoping that, like pantyhose in the freezer (supposedly), it will become stronger and last more than just one season. No harm no foul. Let you know if it works.

Re: Deals!
Remember this material has served me well..I'll soon be putting it back on, going on 3rd season and still as good as new. Certainly not as fine as tulle, seems to be doing the job of keeping everything out $3.99 per yard at 48 inches wide

Thanks for the reminder, Jimmy! I forgot all about that miracle mesh. Can't make it there today so, if you think of it, please remind us again when JoAnn's has the next sale, probably around Easter.

Re: Deals!
Free espresso at Starbucks for 10 days. Locations are changing daily so check starbucks.com/cheer daily. If you don't drink espresso check anyway because the grounds for your compost pile will probably build up pretty quickly on those days!

No, That's not the reason, they did this for the past two seasons. It's my opinion they just don't want to be bothered doing the packaging. When I pick mine up, I walk in with a heavy tote bag that they can dump the grinds in, Most other instances they package grinds in 10 lb carry out bags suited just for that purpose.
As I mentioned, this local manager must determine that.
