Most garden bugs (helpers or pests) I am ok with, but this one I found on my tomato plant gave me the heebie jeebies. So much so that I could only get this photo before I had to back away. I can't seem to find anything online that looks remotely like this guy.

Does anyone know what it is (should he be given 5 star treatment or kicked to the curb)?

I first saw those tortoise beetles on my pepper plants last year and have removed a couple of them this year too. They are actually a clear beetle, the brown part you see it what he's already digested of your tomato. Ewwwwwwwwwwwwww.

I took this pic last year. It is not alive....it was soaked in some Rotenone first. What a Face

Eww...thanks for the help everyone. Good to know what I originally thought was a bird dropping is a bug eating my tomato plant. Laughing
