Tomato plant ?'s

This is what my husky red cherry tomato plant looks like. I think it is sick. Any ideas or advice. New gardener here so I am at a loss. It does have some tiny green tomatoes growing on it.

I will try to post another picture in better daylight. It is light green and yellow and the spots are brown.

Starting to think I need to just pull it out and start over. I am doing research online and although I have no clue what is exactly wrong I am thinking I don't want whatever it is to affect my other plants so I should probably take it out. ??? Really don't know though.

Looks like septoria, I'm not familiar with it but found this result in a google search

Thank you! It does kind of look like that. Do you think the best course of action would be to just pull it since it has only been planted for a week, and start over with a new healthy plant? Or do you think just pulling off the leaves that are infected would suffice?

Open to any suggestions here.

I really cannot tell but it looks like blight. Where did you get the plant and do you know who (nursery) grew it? I would remove it and trash it. You may actually want to call your local Agriculture agent and have them look at it. Actually please DO contact them. If there are stores selling blighted plants they will really, really want to know about it. If it is blight it can spread on the wind and decimate crop all over your area. Please let us know what happens.

I just went out and pulled it. I bought it at a local feed store. It was a Bonnie Husky Red Cherry Tomato plant. I sent an email to the local AG extension office. I am going to go back out in the morning and check my other plants etc.

Is there anything else I should do? Does it mess with my soil etc? Can I plant a new plant in that square?

Although I try to be an organic gardener - that is the real fun and advantage of growing your own - when it comes to tomatoes I decided that this year I am using a fungicide. I have never NOT had diseased tomatoes.

Last year the disease came later than usual, but it came . I still got some pretty good tomatoes but my eyes were opened when I went to my son's and saw disease free plants late in the season. Who knew? SO for the blight and wilt prone items (tomatoes, cukes and squashes) I am using fungicide.

What product do you use on your plants? Do you think I should treat my other plants even if they are not showing signs of disease?

I do not know what I use but tomorrow I will go take a peek.

Basically I just went to Home Depot and read all of the bottles and chose based on price and supposed ability to reduce wilts and other fungal diseases.

From what I understand it is a good idea to treat the soil before planting and then a regular dose as the season progresses. Just follow label directions. Since you already have an infected plant - and you may have bought it that way - then it is now in your soil. It is one of the reasons rotation is recommended and it is always a smart practice, although in a small garden you are more limited than on a farm.

+1 to what chopper said. It is definitely a blight. Pulling the plant was the right thing to do.

I also purchased a Bonnie tomato from HD last weekend. Since I couldn't plant it right away, I kept it on a table near a sunny window.

When I took a look at it on Friday, the leaves were turning dark brown/black along the edges! I'm beginning to wonder about this brand.

My other Bonnie's appear to be okay. It is almost the only brand in the stores here.

Has anyone heard of treating blight and funguses with 3 tbs apple cider vinegar to 1 gallon water? I thought I would try it before using a store bought fungicide. I pulled the plant, but I wanted to treat the soil and my other tomato plants just in case.

Is it just along the edges? Are the spots jagged? If so, that could just be fertilizer burn. The plant will survive that depending on just how bad it is. Nurseries and especially big box stores have been know to over fertilize.
