Chicken wire cage with vertical plants.
I am new at this gardening thing and am wondering if anyone knows how you can have a vertical frame and still be able to cover things with a chicken wire frame.
I live in the mountains of Colorado and have a huge deer problem and have to keep them out.

Re: Chicken wire cage with vertical plants.
campgardener-I'm just starting out here too, just finished the boxes and mixing the mix, and hope to plant tomorrow(if it stops raining !) I have deer too, and worked out an arrangement which I think will work (will post a picture after I get everything planted) I made a 4x4 box with legs (also have gophers and moles, so it's raised )and attached a 5 foot high PVC frame up all 4 corners. I cut a 5 foot high plastic lattice panel to use as the trellis and attached it to the back side of the PVC frame with wire ties. I plan to run deer netting up over the frame in both directions, and attach it to the pipe with clamps and to the legs. Hopefully this will keep out the deer !
