Do potatoes ever produce purple berries?
From the looks of things, I should have a bumper crop of potatoes this summer!
However, a "volunteer" has been blooming--tiny white flowers with clusters of 5 berries--and I'm just not sure that it's a potato plant. The leaves smell about the same, though.
In the past, I've had a plant in about the same area that produced purple berries.
I'll post photos once I figure out how to do so.

Re: Do potatoes ever produce purple berries?
My potatoes did flower and produce a "fruit" last year. It isn't common and they are VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY poisonous.
Here is a link where we talked about it last year.

Interesting Info: If you ever watched the movie or read the book "In to the Wild" based on the life of Christopher McCandles, he is thought to have died from a wild version of potato berries. :o)
