Too much work! Just cut 'em and plant 'em.

I've never seen seed potatoes that big, so I've never tried to save part of them to eat.

I honestly don't know if slicing them up to give them more space produces more or not. Just making extra work for himself I think unless he buys expensive seed potatoes.
