No matter how many games you've seen them play, that's just bad timing. I've been to one KC Royals game.....they won. Go figure.

That includes TV and radio time too, so I tend to not pay any attention, as long as I ignore my Cubbies they do fairly well.

Buccos got us, too, somehow. We are starting to heat up over here.

Ashort, thanks for letting us borrow Berkman. He's ripping the cover off the danged ball on the west coast swing we're on. Holy cow! That guy used to be such a Cardinal Killer....it's good to have him over here.

Val, I am hoping I love the grittiness of Theriot, too. I have a great friend that's a Cubs fan, and he loved him.

yeah, 4-10 is not a good way to start the season. The ownership of the Astros makes me crazy... always trading away the good ones...

Agreed, but you'll be back. Too good not to.

And, how do you feel about us getting to play 6 vs the Royals while you have to play 6 against Cleveland, NYY, and Toronto? And, your stretch right after interleague concludes is beyond brutal. You get us twice and the Brewers? Ouch. No rest for the weary. Hope Dusty has you healthy by then. A couple of pitchers go down, and that's gonna really hurt.

But, I suspect this race is far from over....

I saw this running across the screen on ESPN while at FireHouse Subs the other day and wanted to share it with ya'll. Keep in mind I am a Cubs fan, and yes I just accidentally saw their standings (I don't keep up, it seems to jinx them), but also keep in mind they are only good for half a season, so if they are off to a bad start, that is a good thing. Okay, enjoy the list.

It is May and I was expecting this, but it still sucks. Took the wind right out of the sails. We need a Kevin Costner-created rain-out!

this years indians are reminding me of the movie 'major league' a bunch of no-names throw tagather nobody expectin them ta do much, scrachin an clawin their way to wins, jus ta prove they are for real, on top of that the supposedly the 2 best players on the team ( trust me they are far from it) are on the DL. but alas its still early in the season so only time will tell if all this is jus a fluc or the real deal. sence i've been alive '54 years' the browns havent won a super bowl, the cavs have never won a title and the indians havent either, can i look forward to one of them winning something ?? more than likly not but such is the life of a cleveland fan. my one and only solis is ohio state beating michigan 10 outta the past 11 trys.

I'm the only Reds fan in the family. We're originally from Northern Ohio and everyone else is an Indians fan. My brothers are twins and they both said over and over during spring training how much these boys were going to suck. And I had (have?) such high hopes for the Redlegs. Go figure. One of my brothers took his son to the game on Saturday. They sent me pictures - gee thanks! =)

If they win something? It's not like the RedWings are chumps. You can be a hockey fan up there and never hear any smack out of me......even though I don't like them (whoops, a little smack just kind of slipped out, didn't it?)

While I agree in rooting for the "home" team, I could NEVER, EVER become a wolverine fan. Ever. I respect the school very much, but when it comes to sports, I loath them. And if you are an Indians fan, you cannot become a Tigers fan. It just doesn't work. I gave up my loyalty to the Browns years ago. For a while there was no team to watch and once there was, I was a true Bengal.

When one of my nephews was younger (he's only 8 now), he was a big fan of Texas Roadhouse restaurant. So naturally he became a University of Texas fan - gotta follow the beef! It was hard on my brother during football season, but at least he let the kid choose. His bedroom is no longer painted burnt orange. And my 7-year-old daughter will tell you just how much we hate the Steelers. She gets that from school as well as from me. So some of it we choose and some of it is bred into us.

I can also tell you the same is happening to the Cardinals right now. Law of averages is catching up. We have too many injuries to the heart of our lineup, we are really strectching our bench depth and getting exposed, and our starting pitching is waning from it's outstanding start to the season.

Milwaukee is red hot, but I don't think they can run off with the division. The Reds will likely bounce back sooner rather than later. I just hope the Cardinals right the ship over the next couple weeks as they get key players back. If we stay injury free, it will be 3 team race. If we don't, we will be a complete non-factor by late August.

Well, the Reds are finding every way possible to blow games; including losing the Ohio Cup to the Indians. Next to STL and Milwaukee before the All-Star break. This is the week to make a move!
