Jeff
So glad you could join us. Have you already read the All New Square Foot Gardening? There are so many great things discussed in the book that make your gardening simple, less work, and more productive than before. I just finished rereading my book in preperation for this coming season.
Ask any questions and hopefully someone here can help.
Read older threads and you may find some answers for yourself. Try the search feature, it may help you locate information that is useful.
Please, if you have information to contribute, chime in. We want to know about your successes and even those things that were not so successful, it helps us all and we LOVE pictures.
Again,

Re: Hello from Lenoir NC
This book is so valuable to me. It makes your gardening easier and more productive.
Below is the link to purchase the book from the SFG Foundation.
SFG Books
I have seen them at both Home Depot and Lowes Stores. You might even check some used book sites or stores for a less expensive copy.
Try your local library and borrow it, but then you may decide you need your own copy. That's what I did.

Hello Jeff and welcome to the forum. I just found this place last month and am new to SFG as well.
You will find TONS of info here in the old threads and the people here are more than helpful.
I checked the book out from the local library to get me going.

We used Christmas gift cards to buy our copy at a local Barnes & Noble. If your birthday is close, ask for some gift cards, or the book, and you will always have the copy at your side. It's a phenomenal read....and worth the money.

Howdy Jeff and Welcome. There are two Square Foot Gardening books available. The first book is titled, Square Foot Gardening" and the second is, "ALL NEW SQUARE FOOT GARDENING" (capital letters are part of the title). Both books are super. The second book "ALL NEW" may be harder to find used than the first. Mel wrote the ALL NEW book to make things even better for us folks who like to grow plants instead of weed the garden. If you can find or borrow both books by all means read both. If not, the ALL NEW book is the way to go.
God Bless, Ward and Mary.

Re: Hello from Lenoir NC
I know that on amazon.com they used to have the whole book for browsing for free. I'm not sure if they fixed it or not, but I used the feature long enough to look for what I was wanting, and then decided to buy the book since there was a wealth of information in it. So, that might help prolong the search for a cheaper copy if it's still up there.
thanks
Thanks Kim, I'll give it a look see.
