my rooftop SFG is coming around
Hi everyone,
After a painfully slow start, my rooftop SFG is finally starting to look vaguely impressive. The peas are super and I've harvested some spinach now. My worm composter is set up and working away in my kitchen and should give me some nice compost for next year's garden if not this fall.
Here are some photos!

"Vaguely impressive"?....are you kidding? It looks FANTASTIC! Congratulations!

@altagarden, I wish I knew, LOL. I've been tweaking a few things, but I think it was mostly just beginner's luck with some nice weather we've had these last few weeks. We also got a good watering on the weekend thanks to hurricane Earl.
How are you making out with your SFG now? I remember we had some similar problems.

Nah, I gave up and went on holidays and a few things dried out. Lettuce was happy though thanks to blood meal. Next year I am pulling out the organic fertilizer. I have lost the faith when it comes to Mel's Mix.

I harvested my first fennel and beets yesterday (5 months since planting).

Sun matters. LOL. Every time I see it all I can think of is "There is no fence." Haha. So glad things finally came around.
Re: my rooftop SFG is coming around
Beautiful veggies! And a beautiful little helper you have there, too.
