Today has gone to the Birds
I mean that in the nicest way. This morning my boys and I hung a new bird feeder. Who knew it would take one hour to hang a simple bird feeder. It is rigged against squirrels. (My book on Outwitting Squirrels says nothing is really squirrel proof.) I will report on my success or lack therefore soon. I refilled our window bird feeder and "Bengayed" it and the house. So far 4 squirrels have turned up their noses, unfortunately so have some of the birds. I put out my bird bath, it was from Christmas 2 years ago. I hope it will be safe from the neighbors cat and soccer balls. I looked over at my belegeared Garden berry plant (it has an awful case of flea beetles!!!) and saw a Robin eating the berries. I am very pleased to have seen that Robin, as I was just about to remove the plant. I have tried to save some seeds. They are the tiniest little things. If I am sucessfull I will offer (or trade) them to other bird lovers.
What a nice way to spend part of my day, going to the birds.

Re: Today has gone to the Birds
I watched a wonderful documentary, I believe filmed in Australia, about how truly difficult it is to baffle a squirrel. They are persistent little buggers!
Does sound like a great day - I am happy for you!
