Hello from Bobcaygeon, Ontario
Hi all,
My name is Paul and I'm an, oh wait, wrong place. :-) I am completely new to gardening, and am also completely new to being retired (at 60) so I figured why not learn 2 new things at the same time (actually 3 since I'm also learning how to play guitar). My wife is a Master Gardner, however, she exclusively does flowers and is leaving the vegetable gardening up to me. Silly woman.
I have 2 8' x 4' x 30" raised bed gardens on order from Raised Bed Gardens Canada and am in the process of learning everything I can about SFG before they arrive.
I am looking forward to participating here, and soaking up all of the knowledge I can.
Thanks for having me!
Paul.

Welcome to the forum from Ohio, Paul! Gardening is a great hobby for us retired folk! Do you have the All New Square Foot Gardening book? It is a great place to start. And, there is a wealth of information here on the forum. Don't hesitate to use the search tool to find answers to questions you might have about various tasks or events.

Thanks for the warm welcome OhioGardner, the book is on its way from Amazon already, and I've voraciously reading forum content as well!

Great! Have you discovered the pop-up window of recommended essential reading on the left side of the home page? If not, move your cursor off the page to the left to see the pop-up appear. Some good suggestions hidden there.

Welcome to the forum, PK! You will love this hobby—it is a little addictive…but hey, there are MUCH worse things to be addicted to, just ask anyone!
You have a nice resource at your fingertips. A lot of your initial learning curve can come from the SEARCH bar in the upper left hand corner. Every year is different; I suggest keeping notes too. I do learn from what works/what doesn’t.
