Earwigs or blight?

My poor tomato is not happy. There are brown spots on the leaves that are almost transparent. My mother thinks that earwigs are eating it, but I'm wondering if it's something else. Could it be early blight? It's from Bonnie Plants and I think I read an article about them recalling some tomato plants in the US because of blight. I'm not sure if that would extend into plants sold in Canada or not.

It looks like splash damage... but i could be wrong I believe it is not blight bonnie Plants Blight was an issue last year. I have not heard of any problems this year, so far... click this link for late blight info

Thanks for the links camprn and the info about Bonnie Plants.

My first question is "What's splash damage?". Is it as simple as it sounds? Water splashing on the leaves and then burning them from the sun? If so, that is entirely possible as I have the tomato in a topsy turvy and the damage only seems to be on the side of the leaf that faces up towards the planter.

Secondly, is this something to really worry about. Will it damage the plant to the point where it won't produce?

Thanks boffer. That's the article that I read. I must have been confused about the blight being this year.

Do you have any insight on what the problem might be with my poor little tomato plant?
