Mystery Grass?

Katie brought home some large pots from a yard sale. They contained what I thought were chives, so I transplanted them into my herb bed. Hubby said NOT! Chives have round hollow stems. These were flat. Also, no oniony flavor. So, I pulled them out and planted them in the chicken spa area. This morning I discovered they're blooming. Now I have to know what they are! Any ideas? (They're about 10" tall.)

Garlic chives have flat leaves, and the chives in the name would explain the confusion. I don't recall how garlicky the leaves are. Not as pungent as garlic IIRC.

Thank you. I looked it up and that's exactly what they are. The leaves are tasteless, so we won't be using them in cooking, but Google says they make beautiful ornamentals, dry arrangements, and attract butterflies, so I'm in! Cool
