Hi Folks,

I have some moldy baguettes. I hate to just throw them into the trash. Can I put them in the compost pile?

Thanks
Bart

Not sure if this is by the book of Mel, or not but my Father ahd a simple country boy rule for compost.  He called it Bayou degradable.  Punny before he knew it.  In simple country boy terms anything organic that will break down and degrade in the Bayou.  Another thing he usta say is "small enough to rot".  Big things take too long.

I take advantage of building a compost pile to clean out the frig/freezer and cupboards of outdated foods. Just no meats or fats.
