I suggest taking those leaves off and burning them or disposing them somehow.  It will also give more light to the remaining tomatoes.

The purple edging might be phosphorus deficiency?:
https://www.quora.com/Vegetable-Gardens/Vegetable-Gardening-Why-are-my-tomato-leaves-turning-purple

But I'm reading that phosphorus deficiency can be caused by cold temperatures, too much water, or an underlying magnesium deficiency rather than "actual" phosphorus deficiency. I wonder if drought might also have the same effect, though I'm not seeing anything saying so.

Yes.  But for the bed, good to go.  Bone meal is not quick....none of the purely organic methods are!  You will get your maters, and you could try some liquid kelp emulsion, I don't know where to find it though....folks have talked about it.  I am rural!

Liquid kelp. Check out a hydroponics-type store, you know, for that special herb. It's used for blooms! Some nurseries carry it also.

I've got fish emulsion but probably not the same effect as the liquid kelp.

Fish emulsion also has phosphorus, as well as nitrogen and potassium.

Just harvested the following:

From the new style SFG - Sweet 100 Cherry Tomatoes, English Long Telegraph cucumbers and Early Russian cucumbers.  There were also a couple of Sugar Snap Peas but they (along with a few more cherry tomatoes) ended up inside me rather than inside the house.

From the old style SFG - Roma Tomatoes

From the regular veggie garden - Tomatillos

Second Year SFG in Canada - Page 20 IMG_2439_zpssijhnzwm

This cabbage in the old style SFG looks ready to harvest but Mrs TD instructed me to wait until Momday. Not sure how good it is because the pests (mainly white butterfly caterpillars) have feasted on the outer leaves.
Second Year SFG in Canada - Page 20 IMG_2437_zpsjmhr8loc

And this is what the trellis looks like with the cherry tomatoes on the tall trellis in the foreground and the cucumbers and peas on the shorter trellis in the background.

Thank you, TD, for the added interest you have given to this thread of yours and to our Canadian thread in the Forum since you joined.

Because of you I did some digging of my own ref the Canadian thread.

When I started as Host the number of views in 2015 totaled 23,609.

The number at the end of July 2015 reached 13,378 and the end of July 2016 was 16,531,  an increase that you helped by your postings that attracted extra views.

My estimate for the total views of our Canadian thread by the end of 2016 is 28,000.

Thanks Kelejan.

The quantity of cucumbers from the SFG has been getting out of hand. We have given some to our son and his family as well as to several people at our church. Since we are going to heading out on another trip in a few days, I decided something needed to be done. So this afternoon I did some canning and turned them into pickles. This is only the second year that I have tried my hand at canning and I am always concerned about doing it right to avoid food poisoning.

The other thing that we have been giving away is tomatoes. Before the end of this week many of what we still have on hand will be turned into marinara sauce per the "Easy and Fabulous Crockpot Marinara" thread started by llama momma.

OK, now wait just a minute thar, pardnah.  You're giving away cukes and tomatoes?  Too many???  Shocked   How many plants of each did you plant?

Next you'll be telling us that you're inundated with zucchini.

Three plants of each of the following types of tomatoes for a total of nine: Cherry, Roma and Big Beef.

Cucumbers:  2 Early Russian (these are the ones canned) and 2 or 3 English Telegraph.

No zuccini.

We are only two people so unless I do some preserving for future use we end up with too many veggies and often give them away (which I don't mind doing). I was thinking of putting a table of veggies out by the road with a "Free Veggies" sign on it. Compared to many on the forum we don't really grow a lot.  Very Happy

But don't you use a cuke every morning in your smoothie? That would use up all mine...if I had them. Plus munching on another one during the day as a snack.

Yup, I've been using them in smoothies, in a soup, and in vinegar/sugar/cucumber salad. There's still more on the vines and since we are going out of town I wanted to can the ones I had in the house.

My aunt who runs the food bank in St Catharines says that the food banks also really appreciate fresh fruits and veggies, if you have left overs...just an idea- if it is not too much trouble.  Or you could set up a stand for your grandkids to encourage their entrepreneurial spirit Smile I brought my extra tomatoes to work. They got gobbled up pretty quickly- and its healthier than donuts Wink

That's cool Mimi. We will be taking my Mom back to her home in St.Catharines in a few days. As well, a few days ago I suggested to Mrs TD that we could take some produce to the Ottawa food bank.
