That's awesome! I had no idea that beans were light feeders.
I think I've been overfeeding mine.
Thanks for the vids!

He sure does, Marie. Will get to this later on this evening or tomorrow.AtlantaMarie wrote:Has55 comes up with the coolest stuff...!
Re: Compost testing, Pt 1 and 2-interesting technique.
I tried peas in 3 different media to see if the City compost was harmful in any way. Nothing came up in any media, including my own compost. Just too hot to keep them moist.
Re: Compost testing, Pt 1 and 2-interesting technique.
Have you tried just plain vermiculite ?
Seeds should sprout at least to the seed leaves.
There are nutrients embedded in seeds to bring them that far.
Bottom watering might help also.

Jimmy, To who are you replying? If me, I was testing the City compost for herbicides but didn't keep the 3 medias moist.

Re: Compost testing, Pt 1 and 2-interesting technique.
I just created my first batch of compost and was curious to see if it was any good when I stumbled on this thread but the sound doesn't work for me...well the part where she starts to talk. Is anyone else having this issue?

Ok thanks...not sure why it won't work for me.
It's weird b/c the intro music plays but when she start speaking, it's just static.
Same thing on both the forum and youtube and both on chrome and ie.
oh well.
