Re: How to host a picture.
Sorry for all the excitement. Let's see if I can repeat tomorrow morning.
The posted picture is my very first attempt at SFG, it kept me in salad greens for that summer.
I spent two hours at the library today but did not have any success, and I was hot and tired and frustrated as I had to use a laptop, and the battery ran out and I had to find our site on that laptopr but the instructor got me SFG Foundation not forum and I could not log in etc. etc. .when I finally managed to log on properly the instructor still could not fathom it out and said there must be an error on the site.
Now, I have finally worked it out, written exactly what I did (I hope) so should be able to repeat it tomorrow.
Just seen your reply, sanderson. thank you for waiting up. I'm almost in tears as well.

Re: How to host a picture.
I know how wonderful it feels when you finally post that first pic.
I felt the same way with my Win8.1 when I got it. For weeks I couldn't post a picture and then got help on tis site. Thank you again Yolos for that info.
Congratulations Kelejan.

Re: How to host a picture.
Hold your horses with the congrats. Trying it again but not quite got it but nearly there. My good night's sleep has used the delete button.
I said I nearly had it. I posted a picture but not all of it has printed. Would the picture have been too large? Should I have had to reduced the size?

Re: How to host a picture.
Just checked the picture I posted in another thread and found that it had completed it's download. Just part of the experience of learning.
But could the picture have been too large to post? If so, I would have had to find out how to downsize it.

Re: How to host a picture.
Kelejan.....I resize my pics at www.picresize.com which is free and so simple to use. It has to be a jpeg to work. If you have any trouble figuring it out, just post back here and I'll give you the steps. Just remember, you have to wait several seconds, sometimes even 20, for the photo to resize so be patient. When its done, a window comes up and you click on 'Save Image' and down at the bottom you click on 'save as' so you can type in a new name.
I 'save as' each pic with the name (because I don't have it named beforehand, it just has the number under it) and it automatically goes right back into the same album on my puter with the new name. The old pic remains in my album, too, so I can use it elsewhere if I want. I always make mine 640 x 480 pixels because I post on other forums also and some require that size or they're too big.

Re: How to host a picture.
I have had that problem before. I just immediately re-post, again. So far, it has worked.
Re: How to host a picture.
Sanderson, I did not give it time. I know better in future. I was thinking to make all my pictures the same size as I learn how to post them in their proper albums. At the moment most of mine are in one big pile.
