Tomato sauce made out of my own tomatoes and herbs (basil, oregano, marjoram, coriander, thyme, savory, rosemary, etc) and one red pepper. I am quite pleased with how prolific my lip stick peppers were this year. The bells did OK too.

Carrot leaves.
I'm doing a 5 day Reboot juice cleanse and needed 2 cups of parsley, which I didn't have, so pulled 3 carrots and used the leaves.

oh it's delish! The juicing recipes are really good...especially the creamsicle one. Lots of fresh fruits and veggies made into juice to drink all day long, some from my garden. Could have used a lot more cukes from my 12 plants though than the 3 I got.
Today is my last juicing day and so I'll move on to the smoothie recipes I think.

I'm not eating these, but the house cleaning ladies are.  I pulled my paprika and pimiento plants (still green but hot) and offered them the peppers.  They said it was Mexico's Independence Day (September 15-16) and they will be added as fresh crunchies affraid for the tacos, etc. eggplant - What are you eating from your garden today? - Page 37 Pepper10

That's a really nice haul sanderson.

All of my Jalapeno and Cayenne pepper have turned red. I need to harvest them but I expect they will be very hot. The Cayenne's actually look very pretty in the SFG.

Yes, cayenne is a pretty plant with it's little red flames. I slice and dry jalapenos. I slit and string the cayenne for drying and then grind up as powder. I would have left the peppers to turn red except I need the bed, like yesterday, for the winter crops.

Just finished a gluten-free sugar-free fat-free juice pulp protein bars and peanut butter sandwich for lunch. The juice pulp was made with my own cucumbers, carrots and pears.   Now I'm drinking a big honkin glass of water so as not to get bunged up.

I made my way to my fog enshrouded SFG across a lawn wet from last night's heavy dew. As I was wearing only sandals my feet got soaked. But it was worth the effort. I harvested kale, swiss chard and even a beet leaf which upon my return to the house were cleaned and stuffed into the Vitamix blender along with a cucumber, banana, pineapple, chia seeds and flax. The result ... a yummy green smoothie to start the day.

Kale in lunch; cantaloupe for snack (unfortunately a little over-ripe/rotten in spots); lettuce, tomato, and fridge-pickled cucumbers in a turkey/swiss cheese sandwich for dinner.

Eating salsa that I canned last Fall. The main ingredient was green tomatoes from the garden. Looks like I will have a ton of green tomatoes to deal with this year as well.
