Hello from Anchorage, Alaska
Not much to offer at this time, just happened across the forum and I am interested in building a greenhouse and doing a bit of gentleman gardening.

Welcome graywolf!
With building a greenhouse, you'll be starting on an interesting adventure. A few people around here have them too, and they may already have made observations and comments that could be of use to you. Lynn, from Brookings, Oregon, grows in a 24 x 60 foot greenhouse and you can find her in the "Article in today's local paper" thread.

Graywolf, Welcome to the Forum!
Your next step should be to get a copy of All New Square Foot Gardening, 1st or 2nd Edition, by Mel Bartholomew. After you read it, you may have more questions and we are happy to help all Newbies. Your area has certain restrictions but you can certainly grow almost anything you desire! Use the search button for specific topics.

Welcome from the Fla Treasure Coast! We are a looooong way apart. Can't give any input on greenhouses.
How long is the growing season up there?

Re: Hello from Anchorage, Alaska
welcome from denton , tx
I also want to know how long is your growing season. I'm not doing a large green house, but working on a mini , easy open hoop house for our winter. I guess I'm mid "Down Under" from Alaska.
