larva in my pole beans
I'm guessing these are related to the beetles that have been plaguing me the last 2 weeks
I've been picking beetles off a few times a day
these showed up this morning...probably picked off 20 or so

Ah yes, these are bean beetle larvae - they crush so nicely

So those were the bugs eating my royal burgundy bean plants. Actually, some of them took on a pinkish hue I guess from eating the burgundy beans. It is strange to me that they only got on one variety of bean. Maybe the royal burgundy were more suited to them or there was only one momma laying eggs and she just happened to pick that variety of bean.
