Hi I'm new to SFG and have pole bean pants planted with a trellis for them to climb and they have started twining up the netting but some of the vines are twining together on the same strings like on top of each other. I was wondering if that's OK or should they be kept seperated? Any help so appreciated thanks!

Welcome to the forum!  glad you\'re here

Have you heard the expression "a mess o' beans"?  It refers to food prepared in the kitchen, but it also describes my bean trellises!

Beans will grab onto anything; don't stand still too long in the garden lest they get you too!

It's nothing to worry about.  However, at harvest time, it does make finding the beans a little more challenging.   tongue

Sure does! I can be looking at a knot of vines for quite a while, or the 4th time over, before spotting one hiding in that mess!

They seem to do just fine with it, though. Nothing seems to be throttling anything else when mine do it.

Yes, welcome! I'm a newbie as of last September, and I just started both bysh and pole beans. The latter is doing much better. They're having no trouble finding the 5' trellis and one has made it to the top, while the bush beans seem to be bearly surviving. I lost a couple of them.
