Hello from Greenville, Ohio
Hello from Greenville, Ohio - Birthplace of Annie Oakley, builder of Kitchen Aid appliances, and in Zone 5B
I am excited to be enrolled in an upcoming Square Foot Gardening certification class. I'm a long time traditional gardener but ended up trying square foot gardening last summer as a compromise with my husband. He is a non-gardener who doesn't like his yard messed up! Even he couldn't believe how much produce came out of three 4X4's.
With an interest in wellness issues and education experience I can certainly see the possibilities of reaching out to my community and beyond with square foot gardening. I am establishing a small 2X4 square foot garden next week for my two- and one-yr-old grandchildren in VA. The hardest part was finding the most economical way to get Mel's Mix shipped to their house!

Mbernhard, Welcome to the Forum! As a converted row gardener to SFGer, you have an appreciation of how much can be grown in little spaces. Enjoy the class.

our children have learned so much by gardening....of course the sowing and harvesting is the first real treat....but then they start to learn so much more....about pollinators...soil structure....the importance of the sun and the rain and so on!!

If this product is basically worm castings, then yes, it is a good source.

Welcome!
SFG's for a one and a two-year-old? I guess it's time for you to go buy some strawberry plants!
Hope you enjoy the class.

Re: Hello from Greenville, Ohio
I went to the Tractor Supply website. It says RediSoil with worm castings. It did not say what percent worm castings. It might be all worm castings who knows.
Here is the RediSoil website. Read all about it. I did not take the time to read it so I don't know if the site will tell you the percentage. You can always contact RediSoil thru their website and ask them directly to find out.
