Need help finding (in bangor Maine area) compost for my mels mix
I am from near the Bangor Maine area and i am having a helluva time trying to find 5 different blends of compost for my mels mix!! I have gotten my vermiculite stuff and my peat moss and some dehydrated cow manure and worm castings, but as far as 3 more composts i am having difficulty!! I have checked online and certain stores have what i am looking for but it says "In store only" and that it is not at MY stores! I would appreciate any info on where i can find the stuff i need and i wish i could say money is no object but i can't, so i can't afford alot of shipping and handling prices for hefty packages! Thank you in advance for your time and knowledge!! Happy growing!!!

Found this on Bangor Maine Craigslist. Not sure if it's close to you or not, but check your local CL...there's usually LOTS and usually cost effective!!

You may be able to find lobster compost locally.

Ayup, Quoddy blend lobstah compost is the best. Also try any local farms that raise cows, horses, sheep, goats, rabbits, quail, chickens, turkeys, llamas, ducks, etc. Try the farmers market for making connections. Maybe 4-H can give you a connection with some kids raising livestock and may have compost.

Thanks you guys, i would've have never thought of those places and i didn't even know they made compost out of lobster! I will definitely be searching for these places, really though thanks!!!!!!
