Green lacewings?

I did a search for lacewing and nothing comes up. Readng a number of articles on the web, I am of the impression that green lacewings are better for aphid control (and a few other pests) than ladybugs. Has anyone here tried green lacewings? One of the advantages is supposed to be that the larvae do not fly and spend 2-3 weeks eating whereas ladybugs may fly away before attacking the problem.

Anyway, if anyone has knowledge on green lacewings it is appreciated. I am starting to get what I think is an aphid problem to attack before it gets too bad. Not certain yet, but there are lots of ants in the SFG and some holes starting to show up in some of the spinach and lettuce.
