Harvesting bare roots?

Harvesting bare roots?
I see a bunch of things that look like bare roots around my strawberry bed. Can I harvest these and transplant elsewhere? I've tried searching this forum as well as the web and haven't found anything on this. Wondering if these are really dead or if they're dormant and might grow as well as store-bought bare roots. TIA!

Sorry for the shadow. Here's one of them. I guess it doesn't have all the hairy roots that I see in the google images of strawberry bare roots. I don't remember mine having all of that when I planted them. I was hoping these would work, but maybe it's too much of a stretch.

Oh dear, that looks dead to me. Do you see how it is all desiccated? I don't see any fleshy, moist roots. Is there anything green in the box? Any new sprouting foliage anywhere in the strawberry patch.

Yep, there's a lot of green strawberry leaves. These were just hanging out of the box or in around the green plants.

Maybe these are runners that just never rooted and died over the winter?
