Is that mold in my seedling trays?

Wow, it's been forever since I've logged in here. I have been waiting for spring forever, and it's been taking forever, but I think it's finally here in MN. Anyway, I started seedlings in Feb (broccoli and cabbage, and then added more stuff as time went on), and most (those that came up) seem to be doing well, but the soil has gotten this white crusty stuff on it. Some even has white puffy-looking stuff on it and I'm wondering....is that MOLD, and what do I do? Can I scrape it off? If I ignore it will it kill the plants? I guess I won't use seedling trays with those little pressed pellets of soil again!

It could be mold or it could be minerals from the water. If it's mold, I would try to let the mix dry out a bit by not watering as much and increasing air circulation. If it's mineral scale and if the plants are healthy most likely there will not be a problem as you will be transplanting soon. Can you post a photo?
