Rain, Rain Go Away!
So it's been raining here for about 2 or 3 days now with no sign of stopping. We're not used to this weather here in the desert. The ground is saturated now and there's nowhere for it to go!
The dog is not pleased.
The strawberry box is in a lake.
And the SFG beds are completely afloat.
I sure hope this stops soon!

Re: Rain, Rain Go Away!
We're expecting accumulating snow here tomorrow! My SF gardens are still under wraps to keep them clean until planting. So it makes me green with envy to see all the plants you lucky gardeners have already started....That is until I see that lake! No one envies that much standing water.
Re: Rain, Rain Go Away!
i feel your pain, i still have empty boxes in my backyard because i havnt had a chance to make my mix. and we have 50% chance of rain all the way through sunday and then down to 20% through thursday. This isnt the desert im used to thats for sure.

Re: Rain, Rain Go Away!
I hear ya! We've had rain for two days and projected for two days more. But the ranchers really need it as their tanks are really low, so I'm trying not to complain too much. But the "lakes" in the back yard plus the fact I can't even get to my SFG is driving me nuts. But this too shall pass.

Re: Rain, Rain Go Away!
JJ, last year I was one of the few people I know to have tomatoes. (I was lucky not to get the blight until late.) We had a lot of rain, but due to Mel's Mix, my tomatoes didn't drown.
HOWEVER - my beds were never in a lake like you have shown here! Yikes!
