Squash question

I have a spaghetti squash growing, now the one squash that grew, fertilized, and is appearing is growing super well.

However, I'm not managing to get any other squash to grow, I used to get some growing a to maybe the length of a finger and then falling off, which from other threads seemed to be that they weren't getting fertilized, great (thinks I) I just need to fertilize them by hand. Well, since then, none of the female flowers have even gotten big enough for the flowers to open, they get maybe 1-2 cm in length (1/2 an inch approx) the flowers stay tight shut, and then they turn yellow and die off, any ideas?

I can only say that I've had the same problem. Haven't been able to figure out a cause/solution.

Yea I had all my squash plants look like that. Then found SVB in them. Pulled them all and started over.

how does the rest of the plant look?

if the plant is healthy looking then it could be because it didnt get polinated enough or it could have bottom end rot.......

our crookneck squash last year looked just like the pic above....we wernt sure what the problem was....so we treated for blossom end rot......we added some liquid calcium to the plant and it did great after that....we had tons of fruit off of the plant after that....

I think the lack of pollination was one of my problems, Pharmer Phil provided me with step by step photos and instructions on how to pollinate them myself.....Not knowing what I was doing, I only planted 1 Straight Neck, 1 Patti Pan and 1 Zucchini, all 3 looked great, bloomed heavy and produced squash but only to die on the vine.
