6" of soil - Really? Img_2022

This is my second year growing corn and I am amazed. I planted half a box of a short "Yellow" corn(Front) and the other half with Silver Queen(Back).

The Yellow corn (in Front) grows to 5' and the silver queen gets about 8'. In just 6 inches of soil!

(The frame is 6' high)

I am amazed as well at this I planted corn in a 2' x 4' x 6" box and its growing like crazy. Due to wind here on the Eastern Shore I had to put a fram around it to keep the corn from tipping over.
