Introducing myself from Tampa
I'm Karen from Tampa. I've been successfully gardening in self-watering containers for years. This year we put in raised beds and I'm using the SFG method. I put in my early plants last weekend. I'm excited. I look forward to learning from y'all.

Hi Karen! to the forum. Where in Tampa are you? I'm Sue and I live in Lutz (North Tampa area). This is our first year with SFG and we're excited to get two more beds going in the next couple of weeks. I just planted some cukes, melon and pole bean seeds but some kind of critter came in the night and dug them up! I'm thinking armadillo based on the size of the holes it left.

Re: Introducing myself from Tampa
Hi Karen, welcome. My name is Mike and I live in Dunedin. I am just getting the hang of square foot gardening in this area (growing seasons sure differ from where I was raised). I am also doing some self watering containers and was impressed this past winter with the tomato production from them. I am interested in what you were growing in them and how they did.

Re: Introducing myself from Tampa
Thanks for the kind reception. I'm in North Tampa, Forest Hills. I'm going to try to post pics of my container garden from last year. Let's see if this works. I had three sets of these risers. They are gone now, replaced with raised beds.

lovely
Nice set up! If you did well with this, you'll go gangbusters with a SFG.
