Hello from Sapulpa, OK
So glad to have found this book and this forum. This is my first attempt at gardening and I am very excited. The traditional garden was all tilled up ready to go until I found this book. I have decided to go the SFG route. All of my family thinks I am crazy because they have always planted the single row traditional garden.

Welcome Chieftain... I am an old Union Redskin, so I am bit familiar with the area. You have a great climate for growing veggies!. From your other post, it sounds like you have or are reading the book - An All New Square Foot Gardening. When your relatives laugh at you, just remember you are trading time now building the raised bed in exchange for not having to weed the garden for hours on end this summer. Good luck, if you need advice, by all means, post the question and some one generally will answer pretty quick!

Hi Welcome to the site ,
Your brain will never shrink back to a single row garden ever again once you get past the first year wwith ANSFG's.
Let your family & friends crow their heads off till your established , then it will be your turn to laugh a little .
Just remember the truism of , " He who laughs last , laughs longest. ( it doesn't have to be loudest )
Also remember there is no such thing as a stupid question , ask away whenever you have not understood ....... who ,what , why , when or how etc.
There are a lot of people on here who can point you in the right direction , though it's up to you to do the reading or actions etc. when needed .
