"Green" From Georgia!!
Hello everyone!
Just wanted to say a quick hello. Last year I tried container gardening and for my first time gardening ever, I did lousy. After watching a few vids about SFG I wanted to take a crack at it. I've been "juicing" for a few months now and thought how great would it be to grow my own veggies.... not to mention the over all health benefits for my family. I hope that everyone has a spendid growing season and I'm sure I'll be chatting with ya'll again real soon!

Welcome to the forum. I hope you give SFG a try. Its a lot simpler than row gardening and so beneficial.
I can't give advice for growing in the south, but there are plenty here who can give you pointers as you go along.

Glad to have you join us.
I have a daughter living in Cartersville, about 60 miles North West of Atlanta.
Living on the Oregon Coast, my climate is much different from yours.
Have you had a chance to read ALL NEW SQUARE FOOT GARDENING yet? This book was published in 2006 and is so easy to read. It also has really simple instructions. This forum is a good way to supplement the book.
We have a few "juicers" in our group and they love having their own veggies to use. You can use the search feature in the upper portion of the "Latest Topics" column on the left of your screen to find their posts.
Have fun and keep us posted on your progress,

Welcome to the forum, I am also from Georgia and this is my second year doing SFG. I learned a lot last year and I have been documenting what I have been doing on my own blog. Here are a few links, if you have any specific questions I will answer if it is something I have already gone through.

Yes sir, I did. I sowed the snow peas on January 3rd directly in the ground. I sowed the alaska peas in the last 2 weeks directly in the ground as well. Thanks.
