Pre-treated vermiculite? Zonolite? Empty Pre-treated vermiculite? Zonolite?

We are newbies and finally found 4 cu ft bags of vermiculite (Zonolite) only to find in the small print it's been pre-treated to repel moisture. Doesn't sound like it can be used to start seedlings but do you think it can be used in Mel's mix? We unknowingly bought 4 bags!

Errr...no. The point of vermiculite is to be light and fluffy and hold lots of water.
