This is Hollar from Seymour
First time trying SFG. Hoping for lots of info and support. Seymour is hot and dry, I read that SFG is helpful in storing moisture. Happy to be part of the site, excited about obtaining information.

HOLLAR
Nice to hear from you.
You read right, SFG uses Mel's Mix, and it is made of ingredients that hold the moisture well, but still drain freely.
I hope you have had a chance to complete ALL NEW SQUARE FOOT GARDENING book, published 2006.
It is quite a change from the older Square Foot Gardening book publish during the 80's. The method is now easier and has almost no weeds. (Yeah!)
We look forward to following yoru progress and please, feel free to ask questions.

I have seen women looking at jewelry ads with a misty eye and one hand resting on the heart, and I only know what they're feeling because that's how I read the seed catalogs in January - Barbara Kingsolver - Animal, Vegetable, Miracle
