*help* what kind of bug is this? good or bad
out in the garden checking on things and taking some pictures when i came across this little guy on two of my tomato plants....at first i thought it was some kind of bee....but after getting a closer look....i dont think its a bee.....
anyone know what it is and if it should stay in my garden?

bumping....
well....hubby just got home and he is laughing at me saying that is a bee....but it didnt look or act like a bee....so now im confused.... :scratch:

Maybe some kind of leaf-cutter or mason bee? They are considered beneficial insects. They just use bits of leaves in their nests, but feed on/gather nectar.

Doesn't look like a bee to me either.
I'd guess that it's a Robber Fly. They often have coloration very similar to that of a bee.
