Help! Birds are eating all my strawberries!
My strawberries are just beginning to ripen and just before they are ready to pick (IMO), they birds get to them! Its so frustrating
My berries are in the holes of cinder blocks, which create my SFG. I am not sure what I can cover them with that the birds won't be able to get through and that won't block light or damage plants in the actual garden itself.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Bird netting. I get mine at Home Depot. For a short term solution put some stakes around your bed, you will need to put something like a very small pot or something on the top of each stake to prevent the netting from just sliding down, and just drape it over your beds. Make sure all the gaps are closed, I used clothes pins.

I built the chicken wire cage shown in the book. works like a charm except now I have to worry about my 3yr old removing it to get the berries and not putting it back on all the way.
