help some of my veggies are having issues

some of my baby tomato plants that i have grown from seeds are having browning on the leaves help veggies not looking well 05_30_11

some of the leaves underneath are a purple color Sad

my blueberris flowers are done blooming yet i dont see a berry...its just this flat surface where once the flower was.....

my pumpkin leaves are yellow....

and this is what i found today in the middle of my wonderful peas....

and look at the bottom leaves and the leaf of my sunflower.....its bright, bright yellow

the rest of my peas look awesome still....

Don't worry about the blueberries! That's what they are supposed to do, the blooms fall off and then the area behind the flat part will start to bulge and round out. I have 4 bushes this year and I worried about them too when that happened. It takes a few weeks before you start to see the change, but it will come.

As for the tomatoes and peas, sounds like they need some fertilizer, I'll bet someone will have a suggestion on that soon!

The bottom leaves of the sunflower are just the baby leaves seeing the end of their cycle. Not to worry.

oh thank you!.....i was worried we werent going to get any blueberries....the kids and i keep checking every day Very Happy

we really want to eat some before the birds do.... Laughing

Chopper im so glad to hear this normal.....the kids are sooo excited to have planted sunflowers this year....last year we tried...they came up in our front yard...but something ate the top right off of them so we never had them grow.....this time around we planted in the SFG and in my sons self water tub his dad built him....they are getting huge already and the thought of trying to explain to my son that there might be something wrong with the plant.....well....he would have taken it harder then one of our fish dies.....

Perhaps a little compost tea will perk up the peas. In your MM did you use 5 differant compost sources? help veggies not looking well 601593

This is just a suggestion but get up early for those berries or get some netting to keep the birds off, otherwise they will get them before you do. Shocked

If the berries do not form there was a pollination problem.

All that yellowing is a sure sign of lack of nitrogen. Compost tea or a very light sprinkling of dried blood or fish emulsion diluted a bit more than label directions should help pretty quickly.

+1 on the lower leaves of sunflowers. Most years by the time flowering comes, my sunflowers have lost nearly all the leaves up the stalk, but the flowers are sure beautiful.
